Elections

The SAN is administered by a Management Committee currently made up of 25 elected representatives from
the five municipalities of sector IV of the new town of Marne-la-Vallée namely:
Bailly-Romainvilliers, Chessy, Coupvray, Magny le Hongre and Serris.
The 25 Val d'Europe SAN representatives are elected by indirect universal suffrage.


The SAN President

The President directs, organises and manages all activities for the area. The President chairs the Management Committee and is also the head of SAN administrative personnel.

SAN Presidents since 1987:
- Odette Pasqualini (Mayor of Chessy): 1987 - 1989
- Charles Boetto: 1989 - 2001
- Jean-Paul Balcou (Mayor of Magny le Hongre): since 2001


The Management Committee

The Management Committee assembles the 25 SAN representatives. Through its deliberations, it settles all matters falling within SAN jurisdiction. Meetings are called by the President and are held at the Château de Chessy on an average of once a month. These sessions are open to the public.


The Management Board

This includes the President and 5 vice-presidents. The Management Board meets on an average of twice a month.
The Management Committee entrusts the Management Board with certain tasks such as:
- The allocation of some of the subsidies.
- Decisions regarding rules of use for public services or assets managed by the SAN.
- Some of the decisions linked to public purchases.

These sessions are not open to the public.
